Kevin+Claire -Virginia Park
What a stunning Autumn Wedding in Ireland this weekend at the fabulous Virginia Park Lodge Hotel just an hour from Dublin with Claire & Kevin.
We knew that the weather was going to test us and it certainly held up to its promise! But it didn’t dampen the spirit of the day. A huge thank you to Claire, Kevin & their families for having us there to capture such a a special day.

We started off at Virginia Park where everyone was getting ready. The rain poured as make up & hair was being done and excitement levels increased! My assistant Richard traveled to the church with the guys to capture people arriving whilst I stayed with the girls. After hair and make up Claire came out of the room looking simply beautiful in her dress. There was time for a quick picture in the room before we had to leave for the church. After a meeting with dad at the bottom of the stairs we took a few pictures under cover as the rain was increasing. Then we headed for the church around 15 minutes away. The ceremony was great and very relaxed with the priest making everyone feel very welcome. We had free roam to be honest and together with the video team set about documenting the ceremony. After approx 40 mins the bride & groom left to rapturous applause as they walked down the aisle. When we all got outside we could see that the rain had nearly stopped or atleast turned into very light rain which gave u 10 mins outside the church for people to come outside and for us to do a few pictures of the bridal party and guests. Before we got back to the venue we stopped with the video team on the drive of the lodge to take some pictures under the Autumn trees. A big thank you to the couple for doing this and for facing the elements! it makes my job a lot easier!
Everyone then made there way back to the venue which looked amazing with beautiful autumn flowers everywhere and pumpkins! After speeches the entertainment rolled into town - The London Essentials. I have worked with them before and they never disappoint getting the crowd going with their performance. A huge thank you to Tara & her team for they worked tirelessly to put on an amazing wedding. The attention to detail was second to none and they made the day run very smoothly.
it is always harder shooting weddings at this time of year as it gets dark very quickly and especially so if it is raining also! So it make it a lot easier if the Bride & Groom are prepared to go out into the cold & rain just for 5 or 10 mins under and umbrella or tree in order for us to do our thing! So again a big thank you to Claire & Kevin for doing this. Below are some images from the wedding.
