WARNING ( long post ) But worth it!!

Well, wow. What a couple of weeks we have had in Canada. Cannot wait for our next visit in Sep. Here are some images from our 1st wedding of the trip ( Kerri & Andy ) Thanks very much guys for choosing us to be a part of your special day. We spent an hour or so with Kerri & Andy before the wedding which was a great chance to shoot at some very cool locations that we found around 10 mins away from the lakeside location. Thank you to Chantelle & Sarah Moore & team for planning and executing an amazing day.Thank you to Kristie as always for being my eyes, ears & hands!! To Craig for driving and assisting. To Ellen's Flowers for some beautiful creations. A special thank you to Kerri & Andy for letting us drag you through the thistles and dragon flies!! Much appreciated.

Shooting a wedding out in the open in very bright sunshine is very rewarding but very testing. I was looking for shade, backgrounds of texture as well as using the sky and grass as part of the image. Using strong flash also to help over power the sun as well as using 1.2 lenses to use the strong bright ambience.

Beach Course BHP Training

Last Friday saw us hit the beach for our day course "Lifestyle at the Beach."Unlike last year the weather was amazing this time and we all had a great time on the sands.Thank you to everyone that made it down to the studio for the day.We left the studio early and headed for the beach to get shooting! Starting off with Anna and her beauitful kids, Scarlet & Dan. We looked at using reflectors, sun as a reflective light, using shade, on camera high speed flash. We then did a few images using Radio triggers and our Elinchrom kit with soft box. We then headed off into town for a great lunch. After lunch we photographed the very patient and beuatiful Imogen, using off camera flash we photographed her around the dunes & pier finishing off with Esther & her beautiful kids , Holly & Ella - ( a lot of beautiful people on one beach!!)

A few images from Gem & Howard's wedding in the Cotswolds a couple of weeks ago. Just managed to get some shots in in the corn field after dinner before the rain came! Just a little teaser guys! A few images from last weekends fantastic wedding of Sophie & Chris. Thanks so much guys for being great sports and venturing into the dark & dirty cow shed. Wicked!! Thanks to Lara from , " Make up by Lara." for doing a stirling job and for being there to touch up make-up & hair when needed. Looking forward to you both seeing the rest of the images.

Most of our weddingimagery is documentary using 70-200 mm & 50mm 1.2. For the 20-30 mins we usually ge...t with the B&G we use different techniques , using Elinchrom Ranger & Quadra lights, 580 EX II flash guns if and when we need to mixed with daylight and sunshine. Here are a few shots from the great day we had .

Meyer Family Shoot

We ventured down to Shropshire this month for a great family shoot with 15 members of the same family. It was great to see Jo & Simon again, can't belive it has been 5 years since we photographed your wedding! The weather was a lot better this time for sure! Using our Lastolite Tri grip reflector & our Elinchrom Quadra lights on location.

Hayley & Danny Wedding

Trying to catch up a bit with some more posts on the blog. We have been very busy shooting at BHP over the past few weeks. A couple of weeks ago we had a great wedding in Leeds of Hailey & Danny. It was a beautiful day with a great shoot in the streets of Leeds. Thanks to Danny & Hailey for all their hospitality.

BHP Training- Overnight Course

WARNING ( Long blog post!! ) But worth it!

What a fantastic time we all had a week ago now in the woods in York. Thank you to all of the photographers that signed up for the course and made it down to the campsite in the woods. We had long been planning this course down to the hair & make up, outfits, props, lighting, shot ideas & location. It was a fantastic success in all aspects of what we did. Thanks to The Flash Centre in Leeds for supplying us with all the equipment that we didn't have already. A big thanks to the girls from Love Miss Daisy for the amazing vintage clothes. A huge thank you to our models Natasha & Rosie for doing an excellent job. To Ali for bringing down her boys and to Jolly days camp site and for letting us shoot their kids also. Thanks to Jodi Spice & Zan Atkinson respectively for make up & hair, a wonderful job as usual!

Also a big thank you to my team for feeding all of us, and for keeping us warm!
